Day one was a day of play and conceptual work, now its time to get a bit more serious. As previously stated we worked with a piece of metal with worked as a joint/component all by it self. Today we started working with its "sexless" budy, that needed a joint in order to be made into a structure. Designing this joint, was our main goal of the day.
The day started by the group splitting up in two teams, one who focused on tying up loose ends from day_01, and the other forcused on what our main goal of this projekt was, what should our end product be? and designing the joints.
The work continued with the squares, here we tried to se what happened if we used an external force on the grid.
As you can see affecting the grid with an external force, makes it bulge an interact, depending on the force.
Just another pictore of the grid.The Joint that was designed this day, was only conceptual, but we got to see that it was possible to make a stable structure yet flexible. Below is a couple of pictures of a smal conceptual model. In the upcomming weekend we will continue the work with designing the joint, and making a big structure out of junk for you to see.
